Built for California's most underserved programs.

The School Pulse CCR Assessment is free for qualifying alternative education programs in California: continuation high schools, community day schools, and independent study programs. These are the programs where CCR gaps are largest and where district-wide assessments rarely reach.

If your program serves students in grades 9 to 12, operates under a California school district, and has not had a formal CCR gap analysis in the past two years, you likely qualify. Complete the form below and we will confirm eligibility and schedule the assessment within one business day.

Eight categories. One priority action plan.

The assessment reviews your program across the areas where alternative education students most often fall behind on the College and Career Indicator.

Category 1

CCI Performance and Trend

Where your program stands on the College and Career Indicator, how it has moved over time, and which subgroups are driving your numbers.

Category 2

A-G Course Access and Completion

Which A-G courses your students can access, where completion rates fall by subject area, and where credit recovery is interfering with pathway progress.

Category 3

FAFSA and Dream Act Submission

Submission rates for your graduating cohort, comparison to district and county benchmarks, and common barriers at your site.

Category 4

Dual Enrollment Pipeline (AB 288)

Whether your students have access to CCAP dual enrollment, how many are participating, and what would need to change to expand access.

Category 5

CCGI Implementation

Whether students and counselors are actively using CaliforniaColleges.edu and where usage gaps are limiting planning and course-tracking.

Category 6

Counselor Capacity

Caseload, time allocation, and whether your counseling team has bandwidth to deliver CCR programming alongside compliance and crisis response.

Category 7

Bilingual Family Engagement

Whether families who are not English-proficient can access CCR information in their home language, and where the current outreach model breaks down.

Category 8

Post-Secondary Transition Tracking

Whether your program tracks what graduates do after leaving, and whether that data is being used to improve advising and pathway planning.
